Enter the strange, symbolic, and emotionally charged world of dream poetry in this one-hour virtual workshop led by poet and publisher Edward Vidaurre.

The Subconscious Poem: Approaching Dreams & Surreal Poetry invites writers of all experience levels to explore dreams, memory, surreal imagery, and subconscious storytelling through generative prompts and discussion. Participants will learn how to trust instinct, emotional atmosphere, contradiction, and unexpected imagery to create poems that move beyond logic and explanation.

Together, we’ll examine how irrational images can carry emotional truth and how poetry can emerge from silence, memory, anxiety, longing, and imagination. This workshop encourages participants to let go of perfection and embrace mystery, vulnerability, and creative freedom.
